Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Specialty Haul LLC ("SpecialtyHaul", "we") collects through specialtyhaul.com, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: email address and password (stored only in protected, hashed form), and your role (shipper, carrier or both).
• Carrier information: company name, USDOT number, location, fleet category, contact details, listing content, capacity posts, and any proof documents you upload for review.
• Quote request information: pickup and drop-off locations, dates and times, freight details, budget, special requirements, and your name, email and contact preference.
• Payment information: carrier subscriptions are paid through Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card details; we do not receive or store full card numbers. We receive a customer identifier, subscription status and billing dates.
• Technical information: basic logs such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and to keep the Site working.
• Public carrier data: carrier names, USDOT numbers, locations and operating details from public FMCSA records. This is business information published by the U.S. government.

2. How we use information

To run the Site and your account; to show carrier listings and search results; to deliver quote requests, replies and notifications by email; to verify carriers; to process subscriptions; to prevent fraud and abuse; to answer support requests; and to comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who sees what

Visitors who are not logged in see limited carrier information and never see carrier names, phone numbers or email addresses. A shipper's name and contact details are shown to a carrier only after that carrier replies to the shipper's quote request. We never show your password to anyone.

Logged-in shippers can view the business phone number from the public FMCSA record for their top matches. Carriers can ask us to remove or correct it at any time by emailing info@specialtyhaul.com.

4. Service providers

We use trusted providers to operate the Site: Supabase (database and authentication), Lovable (hosting), Resend (transactional email), and Stripe (payments). They process data only to provide their services to us and under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer such as a merger or sale.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only the cookies or browser storage needed to keep you signed in and the Site secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. Retention

We keep account and listing information while your account is active. Quote requests are kept for a limited time so carriers and shippers can follow up, and records needed for tax, accounting or legal reasons are kept as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.

7. Your choices and rights

You can delete your account at any time from your Account page. We delete your personal data and listing; we keep only records we must keep by law, such as payment records held by Stripe.

You can update your account and listing information in your dashboard. To access, correct or delete your personal information, or to close your account, email info@specialtyhaul.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, and within the time required by law where it applies (for example for residents of California). 8. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections, hashed passwords and restricted database access. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security breach that affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

9. Children

The Site is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version, and we will notify account holders by email of material changes.
